RISE Cycles—COMING SOON!—will be an independently owned bike shop and social hub serving
Milwaukee's Sherman Phoenix neighborhood and beyond.
We exist to lift others through education, friendship, and wellness. We respect and honor all members of the Sherman Phoenix community and offer bikes and gear that celebrate our unique location and diversity, along with an inviting atmosphere where all are welcome.
We support families and the greater Milwaukee area through a variety of wellness events and educational seminars—including job training in bike maintenance, skill-building workshops for cycling, yoga classes, spin classes, and informational sessions for those interested in competing in bike races and triathlon. Our events are designed to bring people together and promote health in a fun, welcoming environment.
Our name is what we support and what we do. RISE stands for Race, Inclusion, Social justice, and Equity—all causes that are central to our vision for building a strong, connected community. Our logo, representing a rising phoenix, reflects our mission to lift and empower all around us.
RISE Cycles sponsors the Milwaukee College Prep School National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) mountain bike team. NICA fosters an environment of inclusiveness and camaraderie where student-athletes learn life lessons on the trail, and our sponsorship offers diverse youth opportunities and experiences to compete in mountain bike races.
