What is this frame made of? 

The frame is made of aluminum to keep it lightweight and manageable for kids.  

What is new on this frame? 

This new Wahoo Path is lighter weight and features new components that function like their adult bike counterparts. This makes the transition to adult bikes easier.  

What wheels sizes are available in the Wahoo Path? 

The Wahoo path is offered in 20in, 24in, and 26in wheel sizes.  

What is the maximum tire size? (with and without fenders where applicable) 

Maximum tire size is 2.20 with fenders, 2.40 without 

What is the minimum tire size? 

Minimum tire size is 2.0in 

What ages and heights of kids can ride these bikes? 

Here is an approximate size chart:
Wahoo Path 20in:
Ages: 6-8
Height: 114 – 132 cm (3’ 8” – 4’ 4”)

Wahoo Path 24in:
Ages 8-12
Height: 130 – 150 cm (4’ 3” – 4’ 11”)

Wahoo Path 26in:
Age 13+
Height: 142 - 257cm (4”8” - 5”2”)

What type of bottom bracket does it use?  

The Wahoo used a standard, threaded, square tapered 68mm.

What is the maximum chainring size? Minimum chainring size? 

We do not recommend changing the chainring size on these bikes. Chainring tooth count is based on a lot of factors to provide the best ride experience for your child.  

Does it have any accessory mounts (kickstand, racks, fenders, lights)? 

The bike comes with a kickstand. You can add a set of lights and we'd recommend adding them for visibility. You can add Fenders as well for riding in all conditions. 

Kickstands are not included in all markets. Please contact us or your local Trek retailer for details.

Can you attach training wheels? 

No, the Wahoo Path is not compatible with training wheels.  

Will it fit on a car rack? 

With lots of different car rack options, we recommend you check with your local Trek retailer for specifics and advice on how to carry your kids bike by car.
