A TQ e-bike system makes Domane+ SLR look, sound, fit, and feel like a road bike. Domane+ SLR 6 comes with the TQ HPR50 motor, and Domane+ SLR 7 and 9 come with the HPR60 motor.
Domane SLR+ uses Endurance Geometry. Compared to the H1.5 geometry found on Madone and Émonda, Endurance Geometry features a taller head tube and longer wheelbase to maximize comfort and stability.
Recommended tire clearance standards for this model have changed. Accurate values can be found in specs on each bike model page.

That bolt is only removed when full IsoSpeed service is performed. IsoSpeed is not adjustable.
No.
The RCS Pro is an all-new, integrated stem that shares compatibility across several different road models. It keeps the cables tucked out of sight while also allowing riders to swap stem sizes without having to remove any brake hoses or shift housings. RCS Pro is available in both -7 and +7 degree rise.

TQ system
Most other e-bike motors use gears and belts to transmit power. These parts take up more space and can make noise or break. The TQ HPR50 and HPR60 use a harmonic drive transmission that’s small, simple, and dependable.
Up to 300 watts of assist, 50Nm of torque, 360Wh battery
28mph in the US, 25kph in EU & AU, 45kph in NZ , other markets subject to local speed regulations.
The Trek app does everything the TQ app does, including motor tuning customization, range estimations, and general e-system information. In addition, the Trek app includes tire pressure recommendations, service reminders, useful navigation and range features, activity tracking, and more!

All bikes come with the TQ SmartBox installed. It has output ports for front light, rear light, aux 12, and electronic shifting.

Yes. There is a charge level indicator on the battery with five bars and an optical switch. Cover the bar on the end, and the rest will light up according to the current charge level.
Approximately two hours.
No, it will just stop charging when it is full. However, never leave a charging battery unattended.
No, but you should charge it. The battery can be damaged by storing it completely empty. If you aren’t going to ride the bike for three months or more, keep the battery charged above 30%.
Please note that the battery will only last to about 15% capacity the first time it is depleted. So don’t be alarmed if the range on your first ride is a little shorter than expected. After the first full depletion and subsequent charging, the battery management system will “learn” what it needs to know and will deplete all the way to 0% on future rides.
Also note that any time the battery reaches less than 10% charge, the motor output will be reduced to 110 watts. The battery level indicator will flash to indicate Low Battery mode.
While the TQ power meter is accurate enough for the TQ system to provide smooth, natural assist, it is not accurate enough to provide athletic training data. For training purposes, we recommend a pedal-based power meter system.
Yes - the torque vs. cadence curves are flattest between 60-90 RPM, and peak torque begins to fall off at around 95 RPM.
The TQ motor only needs firmware updates, which are completed by a Trek retailer.
Riding Domane+ SLR
Range varies significantly depending on many factors such as rider weight, assist level, tire choice, riding surface, terrain, and more. With that in mind, you can expect about 60miles / 97km with the internal battery and about 90miles / 145km with the optional Range Extender.
There are three assist modes.
There are mode-change buttons mounted to the shifters, so you don’t have to take your hands off the controls to shift modes.
Yes. Both the Trek Central and TQ apps allow you to adjust max power, assist factor, and pedal response per assist level. If you don’t like your changes, it’s easy to reset back to the factory settings.
Not for Domane+ SLR.
Follow the temperature range guidelines in the Quick Start guide.
Range Extender
Through your local Trek retailer. Range Extender batteries (5289555) are not eligible for return by the retailer due to hazmat shipping regulations. Each retailer will set their own policy regarding customer returns of Range Extender batteries.
You’ll also need the power cable (5289576) and retention strap (5299107) this will now include four button head cap fasteners (W575056), if not, contact customer care.
How much does the Range Extender weigh?
It is 160Wh, which gets you approximately 40% additional range
Yes! This also allows you to fly with Domane+ SLR by leaving the main battery behind and taking the 160Wh Range Extender in your carry-on. Check with your airline before traveling to confirm compliance with regulations.
This job is not for the faint of heart, but an experienced home mechanic can remove the battery in 15-30 minutes. Remove the drive unit cover, remove the drive unit, remove the screws that hold the battery charge port in place, remove the battery. To put it back together sans battery, re-install the charge port bolts, re-install the drive unit, then re-install the motor cover. Sound like too much work? Your local Trek retailer is happy to help.
Approximately one hour.
Yes!
We strongly recommend using the Bontrager Side Load cage (5324465) and the retention strap (5325177). Other cages may work, but we have not tested them. Always use the retention strap.
