World Cup Waterloo Volunteer

World-class events are only made possible through the help of world-class people. With over 2,300 racers and 10,000 spectators expected over three days of racing, the need is greater than ever for those willing to volunteer their time in making this event one that will go down as the greatest World Cup ever.

All volunteers will receive food during their shifts as well as a limited edition event staff shirt in exchange for their services.

How can you help?

The Trek CX Cup/Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup Waterloo holds a lot of opportunities across a wide spectrum of responsibilities. There are a number of different areas that you can sign up to be a part of the team including:

• Volunteer Check-In – assisting with checking in volunteers, guide to respective stations and provide needed gear, etc.
• Parking – assist Parking Manager in guiding athletes, spectators, and guests to correct lots and available parking spaces.
• Course Crossing Marshal – controls flow of traffic across the course in designated crossing locations.
• Course Maintenance – remove debris and x course tape, keeping the course in World Cup condition.
• Start/Finish Runner – couriering registration papers and race results between the Award Stage and Registration.
• Finish Area/Award Area Marshal – light crowd control at start/ nish line.
• Pit Marshal – light crowd control at bike pits during Elite races.
• Bike Wash Station – Assists in smooth operation of bike wash station for Elite cyclists.
• Anti-Doping Chaperones – guiding Elite UCI racers to-and-from medical crew, and assisting where needed.
• Course Cleanup/Course Change – General ‘tidying up’ and course changes for the next day of racing. Evening shifts available. • Reserve Volunteers – backup crew that will ll in gaps as needed or as they occur.
