This super-flat suburban loop around the lake makes for a leisurely family outing with just a few right turns before you’re back where you started. This mellow loop is great for new riders and kids who are used to being out for at least an hour and know how to ride with traffic. Start in Westlake, then pedal through suburban Agoura Hills. If you’re looking for a low-key ride out of town, this is it. This lariat-shaped ride manages to be scenic without a crazy amount of climbing. A nice loop for testing out a brand-new road bike or for kids who’ve already got some climbing and descending skills. Head out of town and after a mile or so, you’ll hit a gradual 1.2-mile climb up North Westlake Boulevard. Refuel at Lamppost Pizza around halfway through and find restrooms at Valley View and Rancho Simi parks as you descend back toward town.
