Project One Ultimate is the pinnacle experience of customised painted bikes, and it all starts with you. Whether your bespoke bike begins with a small spark or your biggest idea, you’ll get input on every level as you work with our brilliant team to bring your wildest dreams to fruition.

The parameters are simple: there aren’t any.

If you can dream it, we will make it happen – even if that means developing a new paint colour specifically for your bike.

You’ll work directly with a designer and product expert to tell us your story and craft your vision.

Your idea sits at the heart of your Project One Ultimate bike, and our designers have well-trained ears for ensuring that every important element is captured. Between their thoughtful perspective, well-trained eye and wild creativity, they’ll help you take your idea to the next level.

Greater than the sum of its parts, your final Project One Ultimate ride is more than just a bike, it’s a journey. It’s a breathtaking work of art that can only come to light when brilliant ideas meet masters of craft. It’s a bike that no one else in the world will have. A true One of One.

Jolanda Neff’s World Championships Supercaliber

Jolanda wanted her bike for World Championships to invoke tranquillity: mountain mist, bamboo, ethereal skies. Senior Trek mountain bike designer, Katy Steudel, took those suggestions from the Olympic champ and let her imagination soar. The result is a stunning Supercaliber that features Japanese woodblock print-inspired bamboo with wispy dark mist at the bottom that transitions to airy and bright cumulus puffs and a sun-catching chroma sky.

Ellen van Dijk’s record-smashing Speed Concept

The Cote d'Azur blue line is iconic in every velodrome. It distinguishes the boundaries of the track where riders are allowed to race – stray from your path and risk disqualification. When Ellen van Dijk took on the challenge of breaking the UCI World Hour Record, she opted for a bike that was not only ultra-fast but also paid homage to this incredible undertaking. Ellen's customised Speed Concept brings forward the legendary Cote d'Azur blue paint and pairs it with graphics on the top tube that read 'Hold the Line', an indicator and reminder for Ellen to hold the bike steady lap after lap. While this Project One Ultimate Speed Concept smashed the Hour Record, you can build your own ultra-fast, customised Speed Concept in Project One Ultimate for $25,000.

Shimano’s pursuit of perfection

In celebration of 100 years of excellence, the Project One team partnered with Shimano to craft a spectacular Émonda that honours the company’s journey to greatness. The design is inspired by kintsugi – a form of artistic pottery repair that bonds cracks and breaks together with precious metals for an end product that highlights its imperfections. It reminds us that true beauty lies within the challenges we face and our growth as we overcome them.
