It's right for you if...
You want more than just the added capability of electric-assist. You also want quality mountain bike parts that make the biggest difference on the trail, and an upgraded controller with a full-colour screen that gives you Bluetooth connectivity and loads of enhanced ride tracking and fitness features.
The tech you get
A durable aluminium frame that fully encases a long-range 625 Wh battery for great aesthetics and protection on the trail, a new Bosch Performance CX (250 W, 75 Nm) motor that assists up to 25 km/h and an ergonomic Kiox controller. Plus, an 80 mm RockShox 35 Gold RL fork, a 1x12 Shimano drive train, 4-piston hydraulic brakes, Bontrager Line Comp 30 tubeless-ready wheels and a dropper post.
The final word
If you're picky about your parts, you want Powerfly 7. You get wider wheels for better traction and stability, a stiffer fork for more precise steering and a refined Shimano drive train that gives you smoother shifting with a lighter touch.
favorite_borderWhy you'll love it
- The new, better-than-ever Bosch motor is smaller, lighter and more efficient. It feels more natural while you’re pedalling, and has less drag when you’re not
- Trek's Removable Integrated Battery (RIB) system looks great and is super user-friendly: it fully hides the battery in the frame for protection, makes it easy remove the battery without tools and lets you mount a water bottle cage
- The full-colour Kiox controller displays ride info, connects with your Bluetooth®-enabled devices and has a built-in theft prevention feature
- The dropper post lets you lower your saddle on the fly so it's out of the way on descents and easier to dismount if you’re loaded down
- You can boost your Powerfly’s utility by adding a rack and mudguards, plus built-in wiring lets you easily install lights powered by the motor

Will my bike have a curved top tube?
Smaller frames (S) have a top tube that dips down as it approaches the seat tube. This design makes for a lower standover height, which is good for shorter riders because it allows them to straddle their bike more easily. The larger frames (M and ML) have a straight top tube because taller riders with longer legs typically don’t have the same issues with standover height.
New Bosch Performance Line CX
The all-new Bosch Performance Line CX motor is lighter, smaller and quieter than previous versions, for cleaner integration and more nimble handling. It’s also more efficient so you can go further on a single battery charge. Use the intelligent eMTB mode to automatically adjust the amount of assist to match the terrain. It’s a set-and-forget mode that delivers just the right amount of power so you can focus on enjoying the ride.
This unique protection shield is lightweight yet robust, and protects the motor from rocks, logs and other trail debris.
Going for a long ride? Rack mounts make carrying accessories a breeze.
The bike is already internally wired to accept additional lights. Go to your dealer and simply have them attached to the bike and plug them in.

Sizing & fit
The charts below show our recommended sizes based on height, but there are some other factors, like arm and leg length, that determine a great fit. That’s why you’ll see some overlap in our recommendations. Not every rider who’s 5´8˝, for example, will fit on the same size bike. The best way to find your perfect fit is to consult the experts at your local retailer.
