Watch Rob Rides EMTB put the new Rail with smart system through its paces both on and off the trail, and find out why he liked it so much that he had to have one!
Watch the video'Indeed the way it manages to balance big-hit compliance while still giving good pop is mighty impressive. Along with its stout chassis, long wheelbase and burly build kit, the Rail is capable of monster trucking its way down some pretty gnarly descents [...] the Bosch Performance CX Line motor is another key component to the Trek Rail’s all-round performance. In our experience, this is the best full-powered motor out there.'
Read more'My first thought about the Rail 9.9 is how it resembles a new school American muscle car, with a ton of carbon fibre and lots of digitally integrated sensors, and as always, more power than its predecessor [...] If there was ever a bike that was ready for anything, the new generation of the Trek Rail 9.9 would be it.'
Read moreIt was a close competition, but not much could match the Rail on every type of terrain. The Bosch system will get you up any trail and the geometry is as close to perfect as we have found for all-around riding.
Read more'Rail dominates the descents and flattens the climbs… it’s every bit as potent as the Slash, but with its own built-in uplift.'
Read more'Whether flowing or technical, it literally glides by the competition like it's on rails while also offering plenty of comfort for long days in the saddle.'

RIB is a one-piece battery and cover with a built-in handle that can easily be removed and re-installed in the frame with no tools and no hassle. It’s the most convenient way to remove your battery for transport, security or just easier charging.
The compact, ergonomic Mini Remote lets you easily change assist level, activate Walk mode, or turn on optional lights, all without moving your hand off the handlebar. Plus, it's wireless and connects with your System Controller via Bluetooth
The System Controller gives you a quick overview of your assist mode and battery level without distracting you from the ride. It's integrated into the top tube so it's out of the way but still easy to see with LED indicators. It also connects to the eBike Flow app via Bluetooth for accessing ride stats and performing system updates.
TyreWiz monitors your tyre pressure while AirWiz monitors your fork and shock pressure. Set your desired pressure in the SRAM AXS app and then just check the lights before each ride – red means you need a pump, green means go and ride.
Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most.
The new eBike Flow app turns your ride into a personalised experience. Use it to customise your motor's assist behaviour, track your ride stats and integrate your data with apps like Strava and Apple Health. There's even handy features like navigation and service reminders.
Designed to meet the highest level of competitive mountain bike racing needs, with second-to-none performance and experience, Shimano XTR M9100 brings lightweight, high-end versatility to XC, enduro and marathon racing.
Pedals are two of the five touchpoints that connect you with your bike, and even though this bike comes with a pair, upgrading to pedals that boost control and grip will greatly improve your ride. See the pedal guide and find the best pedals for your riding style. We recommend flat pedals for simple versatility.

Bigger is better. The oversized seat tube diameter gives more support and strength for longer travel droppers, and allows for more robust, durable internals that work faster.
Fine tune head tube angle by 1/2° and BB height by up to 10mm with the simple turn of a nut. Just flip the link to choose between slack or slacker geometry, without negatively affecting suspension performance. A Trek exclusive.
