Confidence in Carbon

Next to your bike frame itself, nothing has a greater impact on the handling and performance of your ride than your wheels. Upgrading with a carbon mountain bike wheelset or carbon road bike wheelset is the fastest, easiest, and most impactful way to improve the ride quality of your bike.

Bontrager carbon wheels can give you an aerodynamic advantage on the road, lighten up your trail ride, and dramatically improve responsiveness—all without sacrificing strength or durability.

We want you to be as confident in your purchase as we are in our product. That’s why we back every carbon wheel purchase with the Carbon Care Wheel Program, which ensures the replacement or repair of Bontrager carbon wheels at a discounted price in the unlikely case that you damage them.

Program details

Trek appreciates the fact that a set of carbon wheels is a serious investment, so we’ve developed this program to help with the cost of repair or replacement of a damaged wheel. Depending on the wheel and extent of the damage, Carbon Care provides two options:

  • The repair of a damaged rim (including spokes, decals, nipples, and washers where needed) and factory rebuild on the original hubs
  • A complete wheel replacement

Repairs and replacements through the Carbon Care Wheel Program must be administered by an authorized Trek retailer. Prices are subject to change without notice. Repair price does not include shipping to and from the Bontrager Wheel Service Center. Contact your Trek retailer for a list of wheels covered by the program, current availability, pricing, and shipping quotes.

If you suspect your wheel is damaged:

1. Stop riding the bike
2. Take the bike to an authorized Trek retailer. You can find your local retailer here.
3. Your retailer will initiate the process to have your wheel replaced or repaired through Carbon Care

Always ride safely. For more important safety information, see your local retailer or reference your owner’s manual.
