Introducing the WORS Tribune
A New WORS Blog
Can’t get enough WORS? We’ve got you covered.
We’re excited to launch the WORS Tribune — a dedicated space for stories, interviews, course previews, race recaps, and everything happening across the series. The Tribune will be active year-round. During race season, coverage will be front and center. In the winter months, featured stories, deep dives, and community spotlights will fill the pages.
For 34 years (going on 35), the Wisconsin Off-Road Series has produced high-level bike racing right here in Wisconsin. Along the way, it has helped build one of the strongest cycling communities in the country. What makes the series special is everything around the racing - the people, the preparation, the rivalries, the friendships formed, the quiet moments on course, the post-race high fives at the finish line.
There are thousands of people who make up this community. And there are many untold stories among them.
We’re excited to share many of those stories right here in the Tribune.
What You’ll See
The Tribune will be casual and conversational in tone - a bridge between the information-heavy race guides and the short-and-sweet nature of social media. It’s a home base for diving deeper into the people and stories behind the series. While we won’t follow a rigid publishing schedule at first, you can expect 1-2 posts per week in the off-season and 3-5 posts per week during the race season.
Content will include:
• Course previews and venue breakdowns
• Rider spotlights and interviews
• Race recaps and standout performances
• Behind-the-scenes looks at how events come together
• Feature stories on racers, vendors, and organizers
• Topical stories on the non-racing, non-WORS side of local mountain biking
• And much, much more.
Ride it & Write it!
We’re actively looking for contributors from within the WORS community. Riders. Parents. Volunteers. Spectators. Coaches. First-timers. If you have a story to tell, we want to hear it.
Contributors will receive:
• WORS swag
• Free race entries
• And of course, full credit for their work
We’re excited to build this into a new community space with input and perspective from all across the WORS landscape. If you are interested in writing a piece for the Tribune, send us an email at wors@trekbikes.com with the subject line “Tribune”. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Kick-Off
To launch the Tribune, we’re sharing three stories this week:
• A spotlight on our Short Track Racing Series
• A feature on our Newbie Racing Program
• A behind-the-scenes look at how we’re working to continually improve the series
In the coming weeks, you’ll see coverage expand - venue insights, course previews, and more stories tha showcase what makes WORS unique. Welcome to the WORS Tribune.
