What is different about the frame compared to previous versions?

This is a brand-new model in the Verve+ family that introduces a lightweight, Hyena e-system equipped Verve+ model.

What is the maximum tire size? (with and without fenders where applicable)

27.5x2.4” with or without fender

What is the hub spacing?

Rear: 144.5mm OLD, proprietary M6 bolt-on axle
Front: 100x5mm Thru Skew

What is the drivetrain on this bike?

Verve+1 utilizes a Shimano Acera 8 speed drivetrain with a wide range 11-40 cassette and a 42t Chainring for a wide range of gearing options.

What is the rear brake mount? What is the max rotor size?

Rear: Post mount, max 180mm
Front: Post mount, max 160mm

How do you charge the battery?

The battery charges much like a smartphone does. Plug the Hyena standard charger into an electrical socket and connect it to the plug on the side of the down tube. All five green LEDs on the controller will light up for a short time once the battery is fully charged, then the system will turn off and all LEDs will go dark.

What type of charger does it come with and how long does it take to charge the battery?

The battery will charge in about four hours with the included 2-amp charger.

Can the battery be upgraded to a larger size?

No, the battery is internal and cannot be upgraded. However, we do offer a Hyena Range Extender (Model: 5271536) if you want to double your range.

What if I need to replace the battery or battery cover?

Replacement batteries are available at your local Trek retailer, and many areas offer a battery recycling program to responsibly dispose of your old battery. Please see the service manual for small part details.

Is the battery water resistant?

The battery has an IP55 rating, which means it is sealed from low-pressure water splashes at any angle, but should not be fully submerged in water. You should not use a high-pressure hose or power washer directly on an electric bike. The high pressure can force water into electrical components, connectors, or the battery, which can lead to damage.

What is the range?

The approximate range is 35 miles at full charge. However, range is effected by weather conditions, terrain, and weight on the bike.

Is it compatible with Range Boost?

Yes, you should only utilize the lowest mount on the downtube to attach the Hyena Range Extender (Model: 5271536) with the 53mm cable (W5255915).

Does it have any accessory mounts (kickstand, racks, fenders, lights)?

The bike comes equipped with integrated lights, MIK rack (maximum load 25 kg / 55 lbs), and fenders. Kickstands are equipped in certain markets, please check with your Trek retailer for regional specifications.

Which rack standard (MIK or interchange)? (if racks are included)

MIK Rear Rack is included.

Is it compatible with child seats?

No, it is not compatible with child seats.
