It's right for you if...
You want to build up one single full-suspension bike that's super fun to ride on a wide variety of trails. You're looking for a frame that's designed for both efficiency and capability, and are interested in racing endurance events, riding techy descents with friends and even racing XC.
The tech you get
A lightweight Alpha Platinum Aluminium frame with Mino Link adjustable geometry, a 115 mm Fox Performance Float shock with 2-position DPS damper, Knock Block head set and Control Freak internal cable routing. Designed for a 120 mm fork, but can handle up to 130 mm of fork travel.
The final word
Top Fuel AL is the high-value foundation for a versatile full-suspension build. Whether you're hoping to compete in a multi-day stage race or want one single bike that's fast and capable on both flow trails and technical descents, this is the place to start.
favorite_borderWhy you'll love it
- Alpha Platinum Aluminium is lightweight and trail-tough
- Efficient and capable: you can build up this frame set to suit a wide range of trails and races, from XC to endurance
- Mino Link lets you make small adjustments to your geometry quickly and easily, even mid-ride
- You get a Straight Shot down tube for extra stiffness in the rough and Knock Block frame defence to protect against spinning bars and fork crowns
Features
Will my bike have a curved top tube?
Smaller frames (S) have a top tube that dips down as it approaches the seat tube. This design makes for a lower standover height, which is good for shorter riders because it allows them to straddle their bike more easily. The larger frames (M and ML) have a straight top tube because taller riders with longer legs typically don’t have the same issues with standover height.
Active Braking Pivot allows our engineers to tune how the suspension reacts to acceleration and braking forces independently. That means you get more confident control when you need it most.
Trek's Straight Shot frame design optimises the stiffness-to-weight ratio for a more responsive ride. You'll be able to push harder and stay more planted on your line when the going gets rough.

Mino Link adjustable geometry
Fine tune head tube angle by 1/2° and BB height by up to 10mm with the simple turn of a nut. Just flip the link to choose between slack or slacker geometry, without negatively affecting suspension performance. A Trek exclusive.

Control Freak cable management
The lightest, quietest, most versatile cable management system allows any combination of shift, brake, lockout and dropper post lines to be routed through the frame for clean looks and the ultimate custom set-up.
