Every battery has a finite lifespan — even the one that powers your e-bike, and batteries can take a toll on the planet when they’re not disposed of properly. We’re here to help you keep riding responsibly. We partnered with Call2Recycle to turn Trek stores into official e-bike battery recycling centers, so you can easily recycle your used e-bike battery and help us keep landfills free of harmful waste.

This is the fun part. Ride your e-bike to work, school, the grocery store, and anywhere else your heart desires. Most batteries will last between 5 to 10 years, for thousands of fun adventures!
When your e-bike battery reaches its end-of-life, return it to the store to be responsibly recycled.
The importance of recycling used e-bike batteries
In North America, over 13 million bikes are estimated to be sold between 2020 and 2030. That means 13 million batteries will go directly into our landfills if they aren’t responsibly recycled.
