America's best century
Join us at Trek Headquarters for an epic ride through the rolling hills of America's idyllic midwest at the country's best fully supported century, the Trek 100. Over the past 25 years, the Trek 100 has raised over $11 million for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC Fund) to help the fight against childhood cancer.
People often ask of us, "Why start a bike company in Waterloo?" Among the list of great reasons we call south central Wisconsin our home are two common themes: the people and the roads. People here help each other. They're hard working, good people. They're people that truly care.
Perhaps its karma than that people here are blessed with a seemingly endless network of pristine rarely-traveled dairy roads. The roads that surround Trek headquarters cut through the rolling hills left in the wake of the North American continent's last glacial episode and serve as the tarmac upon which cyclists do more battle with crosswind than they do with cars. Two tractors on a single ride is usually considered "traffic."
The Trek 100 was born of the marriage of these two unique qualities; the people and the road. The need to help others combined with the ideal environment in which to host one of Outside Magazine's Endorsed Rides. A coffee-fueled start from the front doors of Trek's Global Headquarters quickly becomes one of the most fun rides you will have all year as you meet all of the friends you never knew you had along the 19, 36, 62, or 100 miles you have chosen. Try not to linger too long at the catered rest stops as there are high fives, massages, and cold beer to be had upon your return.
This year, when you're mapping out your epic rides, the ones you want to remember, add the Trek 100. It will be the most important ride you take all year.
We're inspired by the great athletes who ride Trek bikes, from world champions to weekend warriors. They remind us to dream big, and motivate us to do our best.
