Standard insole
Standard insoles don’t provide adequate arch support. As a result, pedalling forces are concentrated on the big toe and first metatarsal, leading to discomfort and pain.
Why use insoles in cycling shoes?
Cycling shoes are meant to conform to your foot with a stiff platform to improve your pedalling effciency. But without proper foot support, pushing the pedals can take its toll on your feet, sometimes causing pain, pressure and discomfort.
Standard insoles don’t provide adequate arch support. As a result, pedalling forces are concentrated on the big toe and first metatarsal, leading to discomfort and pain.
inForm BioDynamic insoles are engineered to deliver complete foot support, dispersing pedalling forces evenly across the ball of the foot to improve comfort and pedalling.
Trek with Superfeet
Trek inForm BioDynamic insoles were developed in close partnership with Superfeet, a global leader in insole design and technology. Starting with Trek’s in-depth understanding of the unique fit, comfort and performance requirements of cyclists, and leveraging Superfeet’s 30+ years of expertise, this collaboration brings to market the highest quality, best performing cycling insoles to date.
3D Arch
The key to Trek’s advanced foot support is our proprietary 3D Arch, which has been painstakingly engineered to support all three arches of the foot. Our 3D Arch’s unparalleled level of support helps align and stabilise the foot for more even pressure distribution and maximum energy transfer.
1 Transverse Arch
2 Lateral Arch
3 Medial Arch
Which arch is best for me?
The goal of the insole is to properly support a rider’s natural arch shape. Excessive arch collapse commonly shows itself in the form of pain on the inside of the foot and the inside knee. Choosing the correct arch height will ensure that your foot is properly supported for your unique anatomy and will relieve any pain commonly found while riding. Trek has made three arch heights to accommodate the most common foot profiles for low, mid and high arches.
