As the lead industrial designer for helmets, you’ll work within Trek’s product development team to provide design direction specifically for cycling helmets. Exceptional aesthetic and sculptural skills are required. This position will be responsible for defining aspects of style, color, form, fit, and function, as well as be required to meet criteria for product features, cost, manufacturability, and project schedules. The ideal candidate will excel at Solidworks or Alias, Adobe Illustrator, possess strong design and composition skills, and will have experience working with engineers, manufacturing, product managers, and brand managers.
Responsibilities to include:
Design and develop cycling helmet solutions for men, women, and children.
Produce high-quality illustrations and CAD files for internal review, and support the development needs through production.
The ideal applicant will have 5+ years of industrial design experience in a consumer product, fashion driven market.
