We believe in action.
An army of advocates can accomplish great things.
Trek is proud to support the following organizations that work to make the world a better place, for bicycles and people alike.
Bicycle Friendly Communities
BFC is an influential initiative of the League of American Bicyclists that provides guidance, advice, and resources to communities and states to improve their bike infrastructure and provide a positive environment for cyclists. Trek and US Trek dealers have teamed up to donate $1 each of every Trek helmet sold to support BFC. By the end of 2010, this will amount to well over $1 million in funding.
IMBA
The International Mountain Bicycling Association creates, enhances, and preserves great trail experiences for mountain bikers worldwide. $10 from the sale of every Trek full-suspension mountain bike goes to support their efforts, to ensure that we all have a place to ride for generations to come.
Breast Cancer Research Foundation
BCRF’s mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime. Each year, Trek and Trek Dealers around the US host the Trek Women Breast Cancer Awareness Ride to raise funds and awareness for BCRF.
World Bicycle Relief
World Bicycle Relief is a nonprofit organization transforming individuals and their communities through The Power of Bicycles.
We believe in the cause next door.
Local action can have global impact. We’re happy to team up with our neighbors to support several great local and statewide causes.
Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin
The 3,000-member Bike Fed strives to make the Badger state a better place to bicycle. In 2010 Trek will contribute $100,000 to the Bike Fed’s efforts, to help maintain Wisconsin’s rank as the #1 bicycle friendly state in the US according to the League of American Bicyclists.
Ride The Drive
This one-day event in Madison closes the state capital’s busiest streets to motor vehicles so cyclists and pedestrians can enjoy the beautiful downtown roadways in car-free ease. Trek and the City of Madison co-sponsor this important initiative and all-around good time.
Safe Routes to School
This international movement strives to create safe, convenient, and fun opportunities for children to bicycle and walk to school. Trek donated $50,000 to help the Madison Metropolitan School District implement a district-wide Safe Routes plan.
Dream Bikes
Dream Bikes is a used-bicycle resale program that provides access to affordable, quality bikes to those in need while providing challenged youth with valuable work experience. Trek plays an integral role in the establishment and operation of all Dream Bikes locations.
MACC Fund
Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer supports research into the effective treatment and cure of childhood cancer and blood disorders. The annual Trek 100 Ride For Hope has contributed over $11 million to the MACC Fund to date.
