Fine tune for full send

Only you can define your perfect trail bike — that’s why select Fuel models are available in three adjustability-packed configurations, all from the same chassis. Start by choosing from the do-it-all EX, the pop-happy MX, or the point-and-plow LX, then tweak and tune your build just to your liking. Or, if you’re starting with a Fuel EX models, you can change your setup with aftermarket links. No matter your setup, you’ll get a geometry-corrected ride with the suspension leverage rate to match.

Three beasts

Fuel EX

With 29” wheels and 145/150mm (rear/front) travel, EX is the classic Fuel configuration. You get the most efficient pedaling and the most balanced handling, making it the right bike for a massive variety of riders and terrain. That’s why Fuel 5, 7, and 9.7 only come stock as an EX.

Fuel MX

Fuel MX is a side-hit savage ready for airtime. It gives you a quick-handling 27.5˝ rear wheel paired with a monster-truckin’ 29er in front. It’s ready to rip with 150/160mm (rear/front) travel for getting zesty on jump lines.

Fuel LX

Want a build that’s burly by nature? Fuel LX is a long travel trail smasher with 160/170mm (rear/front) travel and a full 29er setup. You get more travel for the rowdiest, roughest terrain — plus, it’s ideal for ripping a coil shock.

Dialed to be different

Many trail bikes allow you to swap 29ers for mullet or roll with different shocks, but most don’t adapt the frame to optimize your new setup. That means you end up compromising your ride with suspension that doesn’t feel quite right, off-kilter geometry, or a bottom bracket so low it causes pedal strikes on every climb.

Fuel is different. We don’t just throw on a few new parts and call it a day, because we don’t want your component selection to compromise the geometry or quality of your ride. All three versions of Fuel start with the same frame, but the magic in these builds comes from interchangeable rocker links and shock mounts that adapt the chassis for your dream build.

Fuel EX

We started with the award-winning kinematics of Fuel EX Gen 6 and flattened out the anti-squat curve to make it a little more efficient for summiting steep climbs. Plus, a boost in travel means it’s not just more efficient, it’s more capable, too.

Fuel MX

Fuel MX uses an MX rocker link and lower shock mount. These parts not only bump rear travel up to 150mm, they also create a more progressive leverage rate for more aggressive riding. The MX rocker and lower shock mount correct the geometry for the smaller rear wheel, so you don’t end up with a bottom bracket that’s too low and causing pedal strikes.

Fuel LX

Fuel LX uses the same lower shock mount as Fuel EX for a 29-inch rear wheel, but pairs it with an LX rocker link. Complete Fuel LX builds come with a longer, 65mm stroke shock. Pair that with the LX rocker, and you get 160mm of rear travel with Fuel’s most progressive leverage rate for the most aggressive riding.

Available in alloy on Fuel 9, and carbon on Fuel 9.8 and 9.9 models.

1.
Massive dropper insertion

Fuel’s new frame design lets most size medium riders run a 200mm dropper post.

2.
Dialed trail geometry

Larger sizes have taller stack height (vs Fuel EX Gen 6) for better weight distribution when descending steep terrain

3.
Size-specific chainstays

Size specific chainstays give smaller riders better handling in tight corners and taller riders better weight distribution on climbs.

4.
Primed for smaller riders

Size small stock Fuel EX models come with an MX link and a 27.5 rear wheel for the best fit right out of the box, but it's easy to swap to a full 29er.

Open triangle

An open front triangle gives you tons of room for stashing big water bottles and additional accessories, like frame bags or mini pumps.

Adjustable leverage rate

Tweak your leverage rate with the flip of a chip. Go less progressive for a plusher feel when you’re deep in the travel or more progressive for big features, more bottom out resistance, or running a coil shock.

ZS standard headset

New zero stack standard headset, allows for more aftermarket options, like angle-adjust headsets or tricked-out colors.

Load up, roll out

Stash ride essentials with in-frame storage on all Fuel models — both carbon and alloy. Plus, top tube accessory mounts let you load up even more.

A quieter ride

Meticulously engineered chainstay guards keep your ride quieter through the rough, while updated downtube guards protect from rock strikes.
