It's right for you if...
You want fun. All of it. But you’re also serious about speed, and want a bike that's spec'd accordingly. You're looking for a quick down-country shredder that's fast on flats, soaks up rough terrain and has the latest in fully wireless electronic components.
The tech you get
A full carbon frame, super-plush 120 mm RockShox Pike Ultimate fork with a Charger 2 RC2 damper that gives you more adjustment. 115 mm of rear travel with a RockShox Deluxe Ultimate shock and a fully wireless SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS drive train. Plus, wide carbon Bontrager Kovee Pro 30 wheels with a 108-tooth Rapid Drive hub for instant engagement, wireless RockShox Reverb AXS dropper and SRAM Level Ultimate brakes with carbon levers.
The final word
The best of the best. You get all the fast down-country fun you can handle, with all of the latest and greatest in suspension and wireless drive train tech.
favorite_borderWhy you'll love it
- The SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS drive train is smart, smooth and completely wireless
- This short-travel bike has a killer suspension set-up reminiscent of the all-mighty mullet – it's both efficient and ready to party
- The TwistLoc remote lets you easily lock out both front and rear shocks at the same time for added sprinting or climbing efficiently.
- Make it yours: it's fully customisable through Project One
- Wider Kovee Pro 30 wheels provide better tyre support so you can run lower pressure and get more traction
Will my bike have a curved top tube?
Smaller frames (S) have a top tube that dips down as it approaches the seat tube. This design makes for a lower standover height, which is good for shorter riders because it allows them to straddle their bike more easily. The larger frames (M and ML) have a straight top tube because taller riders with longer legs typically don’t have the same issues with standover height.
Straight Shot downtube
Straight Shot downtube gives you an extra-stiff frame without adding any weight, so you can stick your line through the rough stuff and still fly up the next climb.
Rapid Drive 108 rear hub
With 108 points of engagement, Rapid Drive gives you nearly instant acceleration instead of a clunky lag when you step on the pedals. You get smooth, immediate power to blast out of corners and hammer through the rough stuff. And that extra pedal ratchet adds control that can make all the difference when tackling a tricky climb.
Bontrager DropLock Lever
One easy-to-use lever locks out your suspension and controls your dropper post with no unnecessary handlebar clutter.
Control Freak cable management
The lightest, quietest, most versatile cable management system allows any combination of shift, brake, lockout and dropper post lines to be routed through the frame for clean looks and the ultimate custom set-up.
