Riding is believing. Just ask Boston’s Mayor Thomas Menino, the happy owner of a new Trek Lime.

Lime’s the bike built for everyone. It’s fun. It’s easy to ride, thanks to an automatic three-speed drivetrain. And it’s helped the mayor rediscover the simple pleasure of riding a bike. Now each weekday around 5 a.m. the 64-year old mayor straps on his helmet, turns on his safety lighting, and sets off alone on a leisurely, 45-minute ride through Boston. And now that he’s seen the city from a two-wheeled perspective, he’s got some big plans for Boston: "We're going to do more in our city with bikes," decreed the mayor.

The mayor’s crusade to promote bicycling in Boston is a relatively new development. In fact, until recently the mayor hadn’t been on a bike in more than 40 years. So when he started his early morning ritual, he started out slowly, eventually building up to his current 45-minute ride. "When I get more experienced at this, I'll be able to ride the whole city," he noted with enthusiasm.

Whether it’s for commuting or for pleasure, Lime’s designed so you can Ride At Your Speed™. To experience Lime for yourself, stop by your local authorized Trek dealer for a test ride.
