JOB LOCATION AND TRAVEL
This position is based in Wisconsin and requires travel 3 to 4 times throughout the year to Europe, primarily in the spring for the beginning of the European season, mid-summer for the Tour de France, and in the fall for the end of the European season. Time away from Wisconsin will range from 2 to 6 weeks during each occurrence, totaling up to 5 months away from the WI office.
Travel will also be required as needed on a case-by-case basis, such as during Special Events or trips that require additional office support in the field throughout the season.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
- Exceptional Bike Mechanic Skills, with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of bike repair of both road and mountain bikes. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE ADVANCED BIKE REPAIR SKILLS
- Exceptional Bike Mechanic training skills, comfortable with instructing others in all aspects of bike repair and maintenance
- A passion for providing trips of a lifetime for all of our guests
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Solution-oriented. Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Superior organization skills and deadline-oriented
- Fun and flexible attitude, with a proven ability to "get the job done"
- Preferably has at least 3 years of guiding experience
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and comfortable with email communication
- Ideal candidate has previous management experience
- Ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree
- Ideal candidate is conversant in French language
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary of $32 000 to $38 000 depending on experience and qualifications
