For those of you unfamiliar with the Challenger World races, they're a set of events around the world that require more than superhuman fitness and the ability to run or ride fast. A high IQ and a good dose of common sense go a long way in finding the team capable of winning these races.
Just such a team came together at Airbus and became a force to be reckoned with. Victors in the event last year, there was a lot riding on the race that took place this year in Nice, France, but with John Ross, (aka Shaggy of the 69er Collective), on the team again, they stood a good chance. Shaggy decided against the 69er SS and opted instead for a new bike, with gears, but still a 69er. It may be that this bike helped the guys to another overall victory, but it was more likely the phenomenal fitness and matching intelligence that made the difference. The key point to that is, the 69er didn't hinder them.
You can check out the 69er Geared bike at demo's around the country during 2008, just keep an eye on demodaze to see where and when.
