Road: Phil Corley Cycles and the Charity Giveaway

At the beginning of the season, Phil Corley Cycles in Milton Keynes, set up a road race team with a difference. Along with the normal reasons a team is set up, brand exposure, increase product demand etc, Phil had another, more meaningful drive behind his decision. He wanted to raise funds for a local cancer care charity, the Willen Hospice.

Throughout the season, the team's rider's have been winning points and these points turn into cash. For every point the team won, £1 was raised. Trek UK agreed to match whatever the team managed to raise and on the 6th of November handed over a cheque for over £1700. Trek has raised funds before for the Willen Hospice through it's efforts during Bike Week and will again benefit in 2008 as we continue to support Team Corley Cycles.
