At undoubtedly the best venue so far, this year’s London Cycle Show was a huge success seeing substantial numbers flock through the doors over the weekend. Their one objective: to check out the latest and best in the biking world for 2008.

The show for this year was extremely well planned and nicely set-out with more contributors and greater quality of presentation overall. The test/demo tracks were also extremely well received with several of the Trek models being highly praised, notably the Fuel EX. MTB demo track manager, Ian Warby commented how, after testing it on the track, people were ‘raving about it.’ On the hybrid test track, the 7.3 FX and the Soho 3.0 were recurrently tested – consumers loving the Soho’s robust, easy-to-ride quality and the single speed version with its ability to swap out the rear wheel for a fixed gear.

On the Trek stand, there was consistently good feedback about our line-up for this year. In particular, the all-new Madone generated a great deal of positive and encouraging interest. Consumers loved the technology behind the bike; its being innovative without being restrictive, i.e. the ability to fit any make of crank to the bike. One consumer even stated, ‘it’s the most elegant machine on the market.’ Praise indeed!

The Trek 69er also made an appearance on its own dedicated stand which was enormously popular. With a 26” rear wheel and a 29” front wheel for smoother, more comfortable and faster riding, the 69er has been described by Singletrack World as ‘the future’. People noted that it looked rather cool too!

Great feedback, a great venue and a great show! If you missed it – you missed out. But luckily, you can head down to your local Trek dealer to check out the highlights.
