Trek: Last Train Leaving for British XC Series and Trek Marathon Series’…….

On 22nd and 23rd of this month, secure your last chance to race or watch the final rounds of the two spectacular series’ of this racing calendar at Coed-y-Brenin, Mid-Wales.

Saturday sees the ever popular British XC Series (Round 5) with 11 different rider categories, bags of speed, sweat and possibly mud on a competitive, all-weather course which is bound to provide much worthy entertainment. As this is the last round in the series, podium places for such will be decided, so racing will be full-on on the Coed-y-Brenin course comprising of rocky, rooty terrain with long testing climbs and tricky downhill descents – just the ticket to sort the wheat from the chaff!

Sunday hosts also the season finale of the Trek Marathon Series over longer courses of 100km, 50km and mini marathon 25km distances. As in the XC Series, the 12.km course takes in the Tarw trail, one of the best in the park and other highlights of the area. Entry for the Trek Marathon Series closes on Sept 19th and is already 75% full, so if you want to try your hand, or rather legs, sign up fast to avoid disappointment.

Also available over the weekend is the Trek Demo Team with a range of brand spanking new Trek 2008 demo bikes for your riding delectation. Top off the series by testing our latest creations on some of the best trails. Be there or wait till next year!!
