Back in March this year, Trek dealer Phil Corley Cycles in Milton Keynes launched a new shop team with a difference. Several road racing cyclists were put together to create ‘Team Corley Cycles’ to raise money for Willen Hospice, a local respite home caring for people suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. When any member of the cycling team finishes within the top 6 positions in a race, the cash prize is then donated to the fund. They have obviously been cycling quite well as now, in August, they are almost half way to achieving their £5000 target! The team, created by ex-pro road race champion and shop owner Phil Corley, is vital for raising not only essential funds but also awareness of the charity. And of course, it’s not just about the rider! The bike helping them to success is the Trek Madone 6.5!
