Flash
Most standard bike lights use a steady flashing pattern, but lights that vary the frequency and intensity of their flash pattern are often more noticeable. The Day Flash setting on our DRLs uses an interruptive flash pattern with accentuated Lumen pops that are more noticeable during the day.
Focus
We intentionally amplified the output of our daytime-visible lights to intensify their beam and extend their range. Without this amplification, a light may appear bright in your hand but won’t be noticed by motorists out on the road.
Range
The earlier a rider is seen, the more time a driver has to react and pass safely. Our DRLs are detectable from a greater distance than other lights – every model is visible from at least 400 m away, and select models are visible from over 2 km away.
USB-rechargeable
If a Bontrager light has ‘R’ in the product name, it’s rechargeable. All Bontrager Daytime Running Lights include a micro USB cable for hassle-free charging.
Battery indicator
The built-in LED indicator light glows green for full charge, and switches to red when you need to charge up again.

Blendr integration
Carry your Ion lights on your bike, on your helmet or both! Blendr compatibility lets you seamlessly integrate Ion lights with Blendr-compatible Bontrager stems and helmets.
Wireless connectivity
All Bontrager lights with the RT surname have wireless connectivity. Control your lights (and even set them up to power on when you start riding) by pairing them with Bontrager’s RIDEtime Elite computer, certain Garmin units or Bontrager’s Transmitr remote.

Truth in lumens
Bontrager Ion lights have truthful lumen output ratings. They’re indicative of the light output you’ll actually see on the road or trail for the majority of the runtime, instead of the FL1 industry standard of measuring output 30 seconds after powering on.
