I bought a Trek Madone 5.2 last summer and if my legs didn't get tired I'd still be on it. I am 51 and an avid cyclist / athlete all my life and am having more fun now than ever cycling.

This bike has all the stiffness I need while managing to absorb the road really well - stiff AND smooth. Accelerates like a dragster, climbs like a goat, descends awesomely. The best bike I've ever ridden!!!

I started with a Trek hybrid 2 years ago, bought a Madone in September, incredible ride. I love them both, but wanted to ride faster and longer.

What people are saying /
The bike is stiff yet compliant, it seems to glide over the small bumps and manhole covers. It feels like all of my energy goes toward making the bike go forward. Trek got it right. The Force group works flawlessly. I can't say enough good things about the 5.5. In my opinion this is one great value and one fantastic bike.
