I crashed my helmet but it looks OK. Can I still use it?

No, after a crash your helmet should be replaced. Bicycle helmets are designed to be worn for only one crash. After this impact the material used in the helmet could be compromised and might not provide full protection in any subsequent crash. You should only ride in a helmet with full protection.

If a crash occurs while wearing your Trek or Bontrager helmet within the first year of ownership and you have proof of purchase, you may be eligible for our Helmet Crash Replacement Program. Please send the damaged helmet, along with the proof of purchase, and a description of the accident to:

Trek Bicycle

Attn: Helmets

801 W. Madison St

Waterloo, WI 53594

And it may be replaced with the closest possible match.
