It depends upon what type of computer you have.  The wired sensors come set up for front wheel attachment only.  There is a long wire kit available that would allow you to install the speed sensor on your rear wheel.  These are available through your local dealer.  If you have a non-digital wireless computer then these sensors are set up for front wheel use only, the rear wheel is too far from the head unit for proper signal transmission.  If your computer is digital wireless then you can set it up on the rear wheel.
