Tineli Racing has today announced a partnership agreement with Yellow Jersey Bike Shop and Trek Bicycles, which will see the team racing on Trek bikes next year.
The team will ride Trek's Madone series bikes in the 2011 season, including the Queensland Road Team Series and selected rounds of the NRS, as well as a full schedule of local criterium and road events.
In what has been a busy 6 months for the new team, the announcement of the partnership with Trek Bicycles has topped off an exciting and sometimes challenging year.
"We have been looking to form a partnership with a bike supplier for a little while now", commented team manager David Inglis. "The team had 1 elite rider 6 months ago, and we have aggressively recruited with a view to developing a competitive team for next year. We now have 15 male and 4 female elite riders and have put together what we believe to be a great bunch of guys and girls, inter mixed with youth and experience and the results are starting to come" said Inglis, "....and to now have a company like Trek Bicycles as a team partner really vindicates our approach and commitment.
With Yellow Jersey Bike Shop (one of Australia's biggest retailers) and Trek Bicycles (the biggest bike company in the world), Tineli Racing has the opportunity of racing on quality bikes with the full support any tea dreams of. Yellow Jersey Bike Shop are keen to promote their product at a domestic level and see the partnership with Tineli Racing as a way of helping grass roots racing in Australia.
